Battlefield Press, Inc. Signs Agreement to Purchase The d20 Magazine Rack
April 10, 2008 – Today Steven Creech, owner of the d20 Magazine Rack and Dragonwing Games and Jonathan M. Thompson, owner of Battlefield Press, announce the purchase of the website d20 Magazine Rack (http://d20zines.com) by Battlefield Press. Mr. Thompson will take over operations of the d20 Magazine Rack on May 19, 2008.
"I have been visiting the Magazine Rack on and off for the last several years, it is a great site for gaming resources, its reviews have often determined if I bought a product or passed on it," says Jonathan M Thompson, "I intend to use it to as the resource that Steve has worked so hard to build."
A Time to Say Good-Bye
It is said that all good things come to an end. Since shortly after third edition D&D was released, d20 Magazine Rack has been a resource for gamers to come to. Now, the time has come to close the doors and shut down the website.
The primary reason for this is largely due to ongoing health issues and my inability to devote the needed time and resources as a result. I appreciate everything that our staff reviewers have done through the years toiling through product after product and posting reviews. I want to say a sincere thank you to the publishers who have donated product for review through the years. I also appreciate the volunteer efforts that have gone forth in the production of the various electronic magazines we have hosted through the years.
Expedition to the Undercity
The Expedition to the mammoth dungeon continues! The Dungeon Under the Mountain expands again, now deep to level 8! Are you brave enough to throw a challenge to the sinister powers that rule the Undercity?
Secret staircases and dark passageways take the adventurers from the Demon Fortress at level 7 to the so-called "Undercity", on level 8 of The Dungeon Under the Mountain. The Undercity is populated by all kinds of dark beings: mind flayers, beholders, snake people and more. A single ruler does not exist, instead various power groups fight each other in order to obtain control over the Undercity. The Undercity features two main areas: the upper city and the lower city, divided by a long fortress wall dotted by watching towers. A single gate connect the lower and the upper city but is known of other, hidden underground passages....

Do not enter that castle!
Øone Games has released the new expansion for the 0one's Blueprints: Ruined Town! Discover the secrets of Castle Falconflight!
Once the magnificent residence of the Town Lord, now the castle it is the hiding place for a group of marauders led by Graunth Obadai ìthe mercilessî, a towering half-orc who is said to have demon blood in his veins. Graunth is often out of the castle to maraud the countryside. A small garrison of cutthroats is always left in the castle, surveying the fabled treasure amassed by the band.
Nobody knows the true name of Graunth Obadai ìthe mercilessî. It is said he took the name of the evil warlord who sacked the Ruined Town in the past after making a strange discovery in the dungeons of Castle Falconflight. People say the bandit took that feared name to provoke terror in the countryside but few persons say the half-orc retrieved a lost artifact in the dungeon of the castle and that after the discovery he was changed...

Imagine what would happen if a fantasy world of dragons, elves, and fairies suddenly appeared in our real world. How would humanity truly respond? This is not some stylized view of Earth like Harry Potter, or a fictionalized world like Middle Earth. This is our real world (with you, your family, Tolkein, and D&D) with all the problems both social and political intact.
How would religions like Christianity and Islam respond given such massive doubts to their dogma? Would we welcome the world of fantasy or would we fear their very presence? Now, on top of this dilemma, what if their magic disrupted our world of technology. Their very presence and the spells they flaunt shorts out our cars and computers. Would you embrace a world of wizardry and wonders in exchange for air conditioning, Internet, and cable TV? Would you fear or hate those that could harness such power? Would you hide in cities of pipe and steel, lights and heat, or venture in a landscape of goblins, dragons, swords, and sorcery?
Rest In Peace E. Gary Gygax, Father of Dungeons & Dragons
Word of the passing of Gary Gygax has been travelling throughout the gaming community today. Gary was a legend and a giant to anyone who has played D&D for any length of time. His passing is a huge loss to the community. His wit, wisdom and humor will be greatly missed.
Everyone please take a moment today to remember Gary and his impact he had on gaming in general. We will all miss you, Gary.
13 Undead await you!
Welcome to the second expansion of the 0one's Blueprints: Ruined Town
Under the Ruins of Castle Blackcrow lies the famed Dungeon of Thirteen Undead.
The legend tells that the warlord Graunth Obadai wasnít able to conquer Castle Blackcrow, inhabited by a human clan of fierce warriors. It is said that the warlord killed 13 of his bravest warriors and his shaman turned them into frightening undead. The undead eventually conquered the castle but were forced to rest under its ground, in the ancient catacombs under the castle...
Graunth Obadai, surprised by the might of his newly created undead army, wanted them forever at his service, but when the shaman told him it wasnít possible and that the undead were bound to the ground they were created, the warlord killed brutally his loyal shaman.
Eventually the warlord left the place, but the ghost of the shaman is still said to haunt the Dungeon of Thirteen Undead, as well as the 13 lieutenants undead, of course...

The first expansion for the Ruined Town is now available!
Øone's Blueprints: The Ruined Town, Old Observatory
The Old Observatory rises on the southeast part of the Ruined Town, topping the hill called "The Hill of the Black People".
It is told that a very old dwarf built the observatory; local people nicknamed him ìthe black dwarfî due to his dark complexion. He was a scholar who spent most of his time watching the stars. In order to accomplish his scope, he built a brass device, made of gears and lens he placed on top of the tower.
One day a strange woman went to the tower and the same night of her arrival, sinister lights were sighted in the observatory. The woman never left the town and each new moon people began to disappear in the town.
Some of these unlucky men and women were found, months later, wandering at the base of the hill, turned into blathering idiots with dark complexions and deep scars all over their faces...

Øone's Blueprints: The Ruined Town now available!
An evil warlord destroyed it long time ago. Now it is known as The Ruined Town, a scaring, haunted place that has become the perfect adventure ground for heroes.
Discover the new Øone's Blueprints: The Ruined Town
The Ruined Town was destroyed long time ago by an evil warlord who defeated the Lord of the Town and sacked the whole country. Since the people were all killed or driven off, no one cared to reconstruct the town, which is now crumbling on itself. The Ruined Town has become a haunted and scaring place; old names were changed by local countrymen to reflect the spectral surroundings of the town. So, the Willow Cemetery become the Bones Hill Cemetery, the Hill of Sunray become the Hill of the Haunting Spectre and so on. Furthermore, monsters made their lairs in the numerous dungeons and caverns of the town, at least where no undeads were discovered. Many evil beings, such as necromancers, black priests and the like, chose the town as their base of operations. Bandits settled in ruined castles of the town and smugglers use the crumbling docks of the town for loading/unloading smuggled goods.
Can be assembled to form a 16x21 giant map!
